Cultivating Cross-culture Perspective in Foreign Language Teaching

Abstract:

Under the background of globalization, more and more talented people who have cross-cultural perspective are needed to
meet the requirement of internationalization. This article focuses on discussing the meaning of cross-cultural perspective, analyzing the
existing problems in cultivating cross-cultural perspective in foreign language teaching and offering some suggestions and measures for
solving these problems. In the cultivation of cross-cultural perspective in foreign language teaching, it's necessary to integrate the
typical culture of a target language into teaching and to provide the general plan of the cultural teaching. In order to help students have
an overall understanding of Chinese and foreign culture, it's needed to help them to understand both the surface and the beneath of the
culture of a target language and comparing culture of the target language with Chinese culture.
