Current Situation, Problems and Suggestions on Preschool's Development in Dali

Abstract:

Current situation of preschool education in Dali meets several problems, such as late start, weak foundation, big
differences between city and rural area, and lower quality of kindergartens running by framers. With the lack of money, regulation
supports and qualified teachers, current preschool education is facing the great difficulties of running kindergartens in countryside and remaining problems of the difficulty of enrolling in kindergarten; the small distribution area of public kindergartens and its poor ability in setting as leaders and examples; poor ability of running kindergartens by farmers and the weak support from government. In order to develop the preschool education in Dali, it's necessary to increase education investment, especially the expenditure for preschool education, increase teacher's number, better teacher's training system and preschool distributing scheme, give priority to develop the planned preschool education project in rural area, strengthen the construction of core kindergartens in town and elevate the model ability of preschools, strengthen the supports on private kindergarten in rural area and comprehensive governance of those kindergartens.
