Abstract:
Objective: To analyze the clinical presentation and diagnostic analysis of staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome（SSSS） in children admitted in a hospital in the past nine years. Methods: Retrospective analysis was conducted to the clinical data of SSSS admitted from October 2004 to October 2013. Results: Among the 35 infants treated in our hospital over the past nine years, fourteen were male and twenty-one were female aged from 22 days to 14 years old. Twenty-two cases were from 0 to 6 years old（62.8%）,among which one case was newborn（2.8 %）, 3 cases were younger than 1 year old（8.6%）, 8 cases were 1 to 3 years old children（22.8%）, 10 cases were 3 to 6 years old children（28.6%）, and 1 cases were 6 to 14 years old（37.2%）. Conclusion: Early diagnosis of SSSS combined with timely, adequate, sensitive antibiotic therapy is the most crucial of the disease.
