Clinical Observation of Sildenafil Treating Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in 27 Patients with
Congenital Heart Disease

Abstract:

Objective: To study the effect of sildenafil treating pulmonary arterial hypertension in patients with congenital heart
disease. Methods: Twenty-seven patients with congenital heart disease complicated with pulmonary arterial hypertension were treated
with sildenafil at 20 mg each time, 3 times a day. Results: Sildenafil significantly improved heart function and mean pulmonary artery
pressure(P<0.01). Conclusion: Sildenafil improves cardiac function in patients with congenital heart disease and reduces the
associated pulmonary arterial hypertension.
