Abstract: From the strategic viewpoint of the future of the Party and the country, Xi Jinping stressed the importance of youth work and put forward a series of new ideas, points and judgments that are of the traits of originality and of the era. Xi Jinping's discourse on youth work is people-oriented, problem-oriented, mentality-oriented and politics-oriented. The four aspects have an internal logical relationship directing the starting point, offering the driving force, and providing the way of thinking and the fundamental guarantee for youth work. A correct understanding of these four characteristics and their internal logical relationship is of great significance in understanding Xi Jinping's discourse on youth work so as to do a good job on youth work in the new era.
