Abstract:

Based on the data of CGSS2005 and questionnaire，by using regression model of Binary Logistic，we made an empirical study on the factors influencing citizen political participation in urban communities. The result shows that such factors as age，community type，political affiliation，company type and class identification have significant influence on the voting behavior of community citizens，while factors like income and ownership of current housing didn’t have significant influence. Besides，we made a theoretical explanation and analysis on this result and then made suggestions on the governance of communities and on the construction of Chinese urban community in future.
