Abstract: Energy constitutes the material foundation and driving force of human societal development, while energy security represents a strategic imperative for national modernization and comprehensive planning. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has articulated a series of significant discourses on national energy security. These discourses have innovatively introduced a new paradigm that integrates energy development and security in a coordinated manner, promoting their mutual reinforcement and organic convergence.They have further outlined a new strategic vision for constructing a modern energy system with Chinese characteristics, emphasizing the accelerated advancement of a socialist modern energy power under the guiding framework of the 'Four Revolutions and One Cooperation.' Moreover, they have profoundly elucidated the new mission of safeguarding energy security within an open economy, thereby offering China's perspectives and solutions to the challenges of global energy governance.In the context of a continuously evolving global energy landscape, these important theoretical contributions provide scientifically grounded responses to the dual imperative of achieving high-quality energy development and ensuring a high level of energy security. Collectively, they reinforce the energy foundation underpinning Chinese-style modernization, offer practical guidance for national energy security, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the global endeavor of building a clean and beautiful world.
