摘要: “9.11”事件后,美国政府加大了对中东穆斯林世界民众的宣传攻势,作为战略传播重要一环的国际广播,对于改善美国自身的国际形象至关重要。分析了美国政府建立“萨瓦电台”、“乎拉电视台”等针对中东地区的对外广播机构,试图一举扭转美国在该地区的公共形象危机。研究认为:如果美国不改变其中东政策的根本取向,单凭对外广播等措施,仍然无法真正赢得穆斯林民众的人心。

Abstract: After the 9.11 terrorist attack,US government enhanced its propaganda campaign to Muslim world in the Middle East.As an important part of this campaign,international broadcasting plays a very important role in improving US image in the Muslim world in the Middle East.This paper discusses US efforts to restore its public image in this area through Radio Sawa and Alhurra TV.The discussion reaches the conclusion that international broadcasting alone cannot win US the heart of Muslim if the US does not make changes in its basic orientation in Middle East policies.
