摘要:

 凯瑟琳.贝尔西是20世纪80年代以来英国最杰出的后结构主义文学与文化批评家之一,她的作品从一个新的角度解读英国文学和文化,极大地影响了英国的学界和普通读者。在早期作品中,她积极汲取20世纪60、70年代的法国理论,批判了西方传统文学批评中最常见的摹仿论和表现论,驳斥了古典现实主义,推崇文艺复兴时期的文学,并提出了以“积极的读者”为中心的阅读方法。

Abstract:

Catherine Belsey is one of the most outstanding British poststructuralism literary and cultural critics since 1980s. Her works provide a new angle to the English literature and culture,and greatly influence British scholars and ordinary readers. Actively learning from the French theory of 1960s and 1970s ,she criticized in her early works the most popular theories of imitation and representation in traditional literary criticism in the western world. She refuted the classical realism,and favoured Renaissance literature,and put forward a new way of approaching literature which foregrounds the role of an active reader.
