Abstract:

An important task in ideological and political education for university students of art is to cultivate both their professional skills and moral integrity so that they can better serve society and contribute to China’s cultural prosperity. Based on an analysis of the characteristics of the students’ behavior and mentality，we explored approaches to strengthening and improving ideological and political education for college students of arts. And in practice we find it effective to allow student cadres to exert positive influence. Other efforts we made and have proved fruitful are activities aiming at improving students’ professional skills and moral integrity，and lectures and excellent courses given by teachers of reputation，who also set good examples to the students.
