Abstract: Aging is becoming a more and more serious social problem in China. The phenomenon of empty nester becomes increasingly prominent. The traditional old-age support pattern cannot adapt to the modern society. Retirement life has become a big problem for the empty nest families. Aiming to solve the problem，this paper puts forward that as a new pension model，community supported aged care can not only relieve the aged care stress of both government and families，making up for institution supported aged care，but also provide a fast and convenient retirement service for the empty nesters. Community retirement service becomes an important choice for solving the retirement problem of empty nest families. This paper also points out that，at present，community retirement service is still under exploration. It needs encouragement，acceptance and support from government and society，and also advancement in concept and system，etc.
