Abstract: Farmers are the disadvantaged groups who live at the bottom of the power pyramid，especially in nations where democracy and legal system are not sound enough. Farmers cannot share the equal rights and benefits as other social strata. Their rights are exposed to violation during distribution and redistribution of social interests. With the development of market economy in China and the quickening steps of urbanization，more and more lands are expropriated from farmers. The situation becomes increasingly serious in which farmers’ rights cannot be protected and even be illegally violated. The reasons for this are manifold. They are the distorted attitude to government performance，the malfunction of village committee，and also the negative attitude of farmers，etc. To solve these problems，it is necessary to perfect relevant laws in China so that the enthusiasm for protecting land interests can be aroused in government，village committee and farmers themselves and the farmers’ land interests can be better protected.
