Abstract: In recent years，due to the negative influence of various social factors，drug crimes in Liangshan have been on the rise as in other areas in China，which has attracted serious attention in society. The prevention，control and attack of this kind of crimes is one of the important problems to be solved in current judicial practice. Starting from the present situation of drug crimes in Liangshan，this paper points out that the economic backwardness and low level of education are the objective causes of drug crimes，and that the old custom and weak or false consciousness of law are the subjective causes of the crime. Therefore，we offer some suggestions on the solution of this problem in this area. The suggestions are as follows: developing economy in ethnic regions，and vigorously promoting the implementation of social benefiting policy on education，which should work together with punishment for drug crimes，and to improve people’s ability to resist drugs，we must rely on positive role of the family system of Yi nationality.
