Abstract:

Ningxia made great development in social, economic, and cultural aspects due to its special status in the Ming Dynasty. It also had great achievements in literary creation because of the involvement of visiting literati. Literati visited Ningxia for the following reasons： relegation and exile, official business and assumption of duty. They revitalized the frontier-style poetry of Ningxia, organized literary groups and enriched the creation of antiphon poetry, showing their extraordinary talents in artistic and literary creation. Affected by the unique natural geographical environment of Ningxia, diversified socio-cultural environment, and the Ming government’s development measures, their poems are of distinct regional features.
