Abstract: The absence of realistic writing in online literature goes against the realistic literary tradition in China. It is necessary to clarify the definition of realistic writing so as to develop ways of realistic writing in China's literature practice, and to establish new realistic aesthetics values. By so doing, we can ensure realistic writing the core in the development of literary "modernization", and establish a national discourse of online literature with realistic writing as an important part.
