Abstract: The modernization process accelerates the individual mobility in society. Due to the individual’s social mobility，whether vertical flow or horizontal flow results in ethnicity changes of different degree. Flowing individual ethnicity involves dominant cultural factors and recessive ones. The explicit outer characteristics of individual culture，the dominant cultural factors，change along with individual mobility. Such changes，especially the change of material culture，known as modern life index，display the unity and universality of culture change. Recessive culture elements，the strong cultural traits of national culture，which is deeply rooted in the memory of national mentality，and is the distinction between different nationalities，do not change easily in the mobility of individuals.
