Abstract: Based on social exchange theory and self-determination theory, the influence of ambidextrous authoritarian leadership(juan-chiuan-shang-yan leadership)on employees' voice behavior was examined, and the mediating role of career calling was tested. A total of 259 valid samples were collected, and the empirical research was carried out using the statistical analysis software SPSS and PROCESS plug-in using hierarchical regression and Bootstraping method. The empirical results show that there is no direct influence between juan-chiuan leadership and employees' voice behavior;shang-yan leadership is significantly positively correlated with employees' voice behavior;career calling plays a full mediating role between juan-chiuan leadership and employees' voice behavior, and a partial mediating role between shang-yan leadership and employees' voice behavior. The detailed analysis of authoritarian leadership into juan-chiuan leadership and shang-yan leadership will help the theoretical and practical circles to correctly understand the complete connotation of authoritarian leadership and the active role shang-yan leadership plays. The findings provide enterprise managers with suggestions for effective encouragement to employee voice behavior.
