EXPERIMENTAL TESEARCH INTO THE BORIDING OF THE JOURNAL BEARING OF THE CONE BIT

Abstract: In this paper we introduce two groups of compounds for boriding,in which there is no B4C.When the journal bearing of the cone bit is borided in this way,a less brittle single phase Fe2B layer is obtained.
In the second part of the paper we show some experiment results of several wear couples.Besides,we piont out that it is possible to substitute the borided ipening rfo that made up of silver-manganese alloy and that the wear couple of the borided opening and the journal neck of the bit leg made of wear-resieting alloy works very well.
