Abstract:

After analysing and comparing some casing designs by double—stress methods, we have pointed out their characteristics and problems. we have also given the .accurate relationship between the actual downhole stress and double—stress and the reasonable casing design. In order to simplify casing design，a set of computer programs made with T1—59 computer is presented，arid these programs are available for oil fields.
