Abstract:

In this paper，by using the concept of singularity function and its differentiation and integral rules, discontinuous loads acting on a body axe considered‘ to be continuous ones. The solution of some problems in mechanics of materials by this method is simpler and more convenient that other methods. Its concept is very clear. In order to explain its application，some examples are mentioned as well in this paper.
