A METHOD TO DETERMINE THE FIRST CRITICAL VELOCITY OF, FLUID!N A PIPE SUPPORTED AT ITS TWO ENDS

Abstract: The critical velocity of fluid in a pipe supported at its two ends can
be obtained by solving the partial differential equation of the pipe's late-
ralibration .By analysing the relation of energy to the pipe's divergent
instability,a unified form ula for the velocity has been derived.The results
obtained by the formula are very close to those got by other formulas.
