Abstract: The critical velocity of fluid in a pipe supported at its two ends canbe obtained by solving the partial differential equation of the pipe's late-ralibration .By analysing the relation of energy to the pipe's divergentinstability,a unified form ula for the velocity has been derived.The resultsobtained by the formula are very close to those got by other formulas.
