Abstract:

The recovery of conglomerate reservoirs is not high after secondary recovery and quantity of remaining oil has been remained in the reservoirs. Wettability is an important factor controlling the distribution of the oil, it strongly affects capillary pressure, relative permeability, waterflood behavior and efficiency. The distribution of the remaining oil saturation in sections in a reservoir scale for strong water-wet and strong oilwet conglomerate reservoirs has been studied in the paper by applying numerical simulation, and effects of sequence rhythm and depth on the distribution of remaining oil in conglomerate reser-
voirs have also been studied. Furthermore, a dimensionless parameter is introduced to analyze the simulation results.
