Abstract: On the basis of analyzing the log data of many wells in the MW oil field, the qualitative mode to identify the water-flooded layers has been set, and the log interpretation models of many geologic parameters have been established, using the analysis technique for the key wells. The interpretation program of these models were developed for the log interpretation, and one suit of evaluation standard of novel and convenient and applicable for
the MW area for the water-flooded layers was be formed. Applying these techniques to the water-flooded log data of more than 20 wells, it is found that the interpretation and evaluation results are acceptable and feasible compared to the production and testing result of the relevant zone. It also brought good geological effect and provides exact information helpful to find more reservoir and improve the production for the oil field.
