LAB EXPERIMENT OF USING THE DIATOMITE TO IMPROVING THE LATEX CEMENT SLURRY′S PROPERTIES

Abstract: When preparing the latex-cement by the latex which made in china, usually we mix the additives to prevent the latex separating out and eliminate the system's air bubble. It is difficult to operate on-the-spot because of the problems which needed to pay much attention to when mixing the additives in the latex cement and the additives are very expensive. All the problems bring many difficulties for developing the latex-cement. By the study in the laboratory, we developed that adding some diatomite to the latex cement slurry system could prevent the latex separating out and eliminate the system's air bubble as well. Furthermore, it could improve the compressing and bending strength of the cement stone, decrease the amount of the freedom water and the leaking water, and improve the slurry system's capacity of preventing the gas flee. This way is convenient on-the-spot.
