NEW TECHNOLOGY STUDY ON PETROLEUM GRID DATA MINING

Abstract: In petroleum exploration and production areas,massive data collections of terabyte(TB)and petabyte(PB)scale need to be used and analyzed,moreover,in many cases,these data sets should be shared by large communities of users that pool their resources from different sites of a single organization or from a large number of institutions.Grid will become the information infrastructure of business workflow in the petroleum industry.Advances in grid computing technology will meet the tremendous and scalable demands of petroleum exploration and production for high performance computing.Grid platform can provide a lot of useful services when people process data sets,task management,for example,resource management and scheduling are some of these services.To show the benefits of the grid environment,the grid data mining integration technology and the grid data mining ontology technology are presented.Integrating Web service and grid technology,grid and data integration technology and composing ontology and Web service are presented,too.This performance is implemented on top of the Globus Toolkit 4,the open grid services architecture and Web service.
