STRESS AND DEFORMATION ANALYSES OF A HIGH SPEED ROTATING CYLINDRICAL VESSEL

Abstract: Because the shell of a rotating cylindrical vessel has a definite rigidity,the bending stress presents in the shell besides axial and circumferential tensile stresses after the deformation of the shell body under the inner pressure. The compatibility conditions of the connection between the cylindrical shell and the annular bottom plate are used in this paper to find the axial,circumferential,and bending stresses, so that the problem is solved.
