Abstract

Abstract: The development and application of under-bal-anced drilling in abroad are reviewed, and the exist-ing problems of this technology are discussed. Based
on these, the technology of low pressure drilling, an integration of special drilling fluid (air, aerated flu-id, special foam, light fluid), special pressure con-
trol (balanced, underbalanced, overbalanced), low head pressure and special temporary plugging, is suggested.
