Abstract: Application of modern reservoir management methods has been brought about huge profits in economics and society. Dy-namic monitoring of an oilfield is one of key links in reservoir management, which runs through the whole process of the reservoir management. As a result, timely and reasonable
surveillance and appraisal can make us understand the reservoir more clearly and is of great significance for realizing the goal of the reservoir management. In this paper, some factors such as the pattern of an circling reservoir management, the importance of monitoring and evaluation, the contents, the technical sup-ports and the tendency have been introduced.
