Abstract: To meet the demand of free cutting steel in automobile and mechanical industry, the quality improvement of free cutting in steelmaking plants is very important. Based on properties of free cutting steel, the main factors that affected the CC processing and quality of free cutting steel were clearly obtained. With the original refining and milling equipment, the new requirements and CC processing for free cutting steel were successfully developed.
