Abstract:

The evaluation of the formation damage caused by mud filter invasion is a fundamental study to protect reservoir in well completion techniques. The authors in this paper make use of the multi-pressure differential and resistivity core measurement system to carry out an experiment on the simulation of the mud filter invasion with Jurassic cores from West China Oilfield. The results obtained,e.g.the relations between invasion length ,damage length, damage degree as well as the changes of oil saturation, thus offer some valuable models both in theory and Practice.

Key words: Mud filter invasion, Invasion length, Damage length, Damagd degree
