OIL GAS PIPELINE BLOCKAGE DETECTION AND LO-CATION BY USING TRANSIENT POSITIVE WAVE

Abstract

Abstract: The theory to confirm the location of blockage in pipeline which using the positive wave happened in the course of water hammer was first put forward in the paper. When the pipeline locked，a sort of positive wave would transmit along the pipe, we know the location of blockage by analyzing the information of the wave. With advantage of few equipment, little expenses,shirtsleeve operation, this method will be widely used.
