STUDY ON GAS/LIQUID SLUG FLOW IDENTIFICATION AND PRESSURE DROP MODEL FOR DEVIATED WELLBORE

Abstract: The slug flow model is set up for deviated wellbore,the flow pattern map is plotted and a new way for calculating the pressure drop of slug flow is put forward,The real gas-containing rate and the foam flowing velocity in annular are modified according to experiment,the equation of modified annular slug flow porosity is presented.The comparision of measured result and the calculated value with the new model pressure gradient from 40-time wells of 8 oil wells in a certain field shows the average absolute error of pipe flow and annular slug flow is 5.5% and 6.5% respectively,compared with Beggs-Brill and Ansari models,the error is lower,the model can not only meet the need of engineering calculation,but there is no problems of convergence and religion limit.
