A sea floor miner expansion which occurred from Dong-Wu Orogeny to Indian-China stage in the juncture of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi resulted in a paleolandscape characterized by the continental margin seas On the slope foot zones which were located along the boundary between the carbonate platforms and the continental margin sea basin or on the edges of separated carbonate platforms in the continental margin sea trench, carbonate debric flow was extremely developed.

The formulas for calculating the allowable rising height of gas kick under the shut-in well condition are derived in this article. Under adefinite casing working pressure, the volume of mud that should be released when a gas kick is allowed to expand rising up the annulus is also discussed here.

The present paper is aimed at finding a method of predicting the direction of the fatigue crack propagation and fatigue life under general in-plane load. The main points are:we presented a new fracture criterion that the fatigue crack extension takes place in the direction in which σθ is maximum in the equal twin shear stress Line. The extension directions of cracks predicted by this criterion are more approximate to those obtained by exeperiments than by any other fracture criterions.

In the present article we mainly deal with the law of motion of the single cone bit with one rim of teeth on the basis of the results of experiments. It has been proved that the motion of the cone around its own axis and that of the bit around its own axis are not uniform, but variable. Besides, we have briefly discussed how forces are exerted on The cone and how the interaction happens between the bit and The steel bottom of the well.According to the results of experiments.

The aim of the present paper is to study photoelastic determination of stress intensity factors by means of measuring the area ringed by an isochromate near the end of a crack. Using our method, we have obtained some stress intensity factors for type Ⅰ and mixed type I-Ⅱ. The results keep stable, with errors less than 6%.
