Abstract:

"Land tax paid in kind" was an important economic policy carried out by the National Government during the Anti-Japanese War. As a big province in the backward area, Yunnan province, after implementing this policy according to National Government's decision, achieved remarkable performance. Meanwhile there also existed a few drawbacks because of Kuomintang (KMT)'s corruption and its system.
