随着我国市场经济的快速发展，高校的竞争也日趋激烈。“执行力”这一用于企业与政府管理的重要因素也被引用到高校改革中，并且越来越受到人们的重视。以麻省理工学院校长查尔斯·维斯特的行政管理执行力为例，集中论述其在吸引科技财政投资以及提高教学与研究质量方面取得的突出成绩，并分析原因，从中总结经验，以期为我国大学校长执行力的提高提供有效借鉴。
With the rapid development of Chinese market economy, competition between universities becomes keen. "Execution",the impotent element in business and government management, now has been gradually introduced into the research of universities and drawn more attention. Taking the president of Massachusetts Institute of Technology Charles Vest as an example, the paper focuses on his outstanding achievements in attracting technological financial investment and in improving educational and researching qualities. Then, the paper analyzes the causes of his achievements and proposes effective reference for the improvement of domestic
university president's execution.
