滇西地区农村中小学英语教师专业素质现状与发展前景

采用调查问卷和书面访谈形式,对来自滇西八个少数民族地州农村乡镇,参加“专升本”函授的部分中小学英语教师的
专业素质现状进行调研。结果显示:学员有发展优势和意愿,但其语言教学理论知识薄弱,对新课标理念理解与执行不一致。制订实际培训措施、改革函授“专升本”教学模式和利用远程教学资源开展校本研究是这类教师群体发展的出路。

Status and Prospect of the Professional Qualities of Rural Primary and Middle School

This essay, through survey and interview, re-assumes the professional qualities of English teachers who are receiving
correspondence courses to gain an undergraduate certification and are from rural elementary and middle schools in eight minority nationality areas in western Yunnan Province. It reveals that they have advantages and willingness to upgrade; however, they cannot develop sound knowledge of language teaching theories and fail to achieve the goals set in The New Curriculum. Hereby, this essay holds that the way out of the dilemma is to adjust vocational training regulations, improve the teaching models of correspondence courses and conduct school-based research by taking advantage of long-distance teaching and learning recourses.
