The ethnic culture in Dali has a long standing, and the ethnic customs are colorful. The costume culture of Bai nationality which, with its characteristics and aesthetic values, has developed from the ancient times now becomes a significant part of Chinese ethnic culture. The study of the cultural implications of Bai costumes is the best breakthrough point to understand the culture of Bai nationality.
