Abstract:

The literature of stele inscriptions, a unique bibliographical form of Chinese culture, is the precious material for historical
study. The Buddhist stele inscriptions with a long history, wide distribution, abundant storage and deep cultural meaning, are important
materials for the study of the Buddhist history of Yunnan and even China, as well as for the research of the Buddhist cultural relation?
ship of Yunnan and South and Southeast Asia. The study of the development, distribution, types, characteristics, contents and current
research progress of the Buddhist stele inscriptions has significant values and meanings for the preservation, research and development
of the cultural heritage of the Buddhist stele in Yunnan.
