摘要：

《白象似的群山》收录于1927年出版的海明威第二本专集《没有女人的男人》，它是海明威重要的短篇小说之一。可以从
新历史主义角度的两个方面来解读海明威的此篇短篇小说：即海明威生活经历对该文创作的影响，以及文中男女主人公所反映的社会背景与社会现象。

Abstract:

Hills Like White Elephants is an important piece in Hemingway's second collection, Men Without Women, published in
August of 1927. It is the most important short story for Hemingway. This paper analyses the text from two aspects of new historicism,that is, the influence of the writer's life experience on the writing of the short story, the social background of the writing, and also the social phenomena which is reflected by the hero and heroine in the story.
