Abstract:

Objective: To investigate doctor's diagnostic techniques and other factors that influence the trust degree to a doctor and to know the influence of trust degree on doctor's professional image. Methods: Questionnaire was made and distributed to 1 000 patients and their family members and 200 doctors from 2 tertiary hospitals and 2 secondary hospitals in Yunnan Province so as to investigate the trust degree to doctor and its influence factors. Results: 59.17% of patients and their family members held that responsible doctors earn more respect and admiration. 64.25% of the patients and their family and 57.83% of the doctors suggested that doctors had excellent medical skills, responsible and good attitude. While 78.96% of the patients and their family believed that consultation showed doctor's responsible attitude and working style to patients. Conclusion: Responsible work and excellent medical skills would both influence doctor's professional image.
