City Integration of the New-Age Peasant Workers from the Hierarchy of Needs Theory

The paper, on the base of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, investigated the city integration of the representative peasant workers of the new age. The results suggested: 1. The physiological and security needs are the main pursuit of the new-age peasant workers in the process of city integration; 2. The deficient needs of affiliation, love and respect are the major causes to hinder the new-age peasant workers' city integration. To promote the city integration actively, the paper suggests that the workers themselves, the enterprise units and the government should work together and satisfy peasant workers' basic needs so as to solve the problems.
