Clinical Application of Acute Renal Failure Followed Upper Ureteric Obstruction with Ureteroscopy

Objective: To investigate the treatment of acute renal faiure (ARF) due to upper uretericobstruction. Methods: Fifty-six
patients with ARF followed upperureteric obstruction were treated with ureteroscopy, combined with pneumatic lithotripter in case of urinary tract stone, and placed double J tube for drainage treatment. Results: The level of BuN and SCr decreased obviously after operation, and urine volume recoverd in different degrees. Conclusion: Ureteroscopy provides a safe and effective method for the treatment of acute renal failure followed upper ureteric obstruction, which could treat the bilateral ureteral obstruction.
