Practice and Experience of Improving the Comprehensive Quality of Nurses Working in the High-Quality-Nursing Sickroom

Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the ways of improving the comprehensive quality of nurses working in the high-quality care ward. Methods: We chose nurses and patients in two different care modes from Sept. 2010 to Feb. 2011 and Mar. 2011 to Aug. 2011 as the research object. Our own design high-quality-nursing evaluation form and satisfaction questionnaire for discharged patients were applied to collect information. And the professional competence of nurses was comparatively analyzed. Results: There was no significant difference in nursing quality and patients' satisfaction to nurses between new and old care mode (P= 0.478, 0.979). The patients' satisfaction of new care mode was higher than that of old mode(P= 0.022). Nursing operation and theoretical examination results of new nursing mode was all higher than that of old mode(P= 0.042, <0.001). Conclusion: The new care mode, in which the task and responsibility were assigned to individual and group, helps to improve the comprehensive quality of the nurses, to enhance connotation of high-quality-nursing, and worth popularizing.
