Postoperative Care Experience of Patients Undergoing Open Heart Surgery under Cardiopulmonary Bypass

Abstract:

Objective: To summarize the care experience of patients undergoing open heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass.
Methods: Fifty-six patients after cardiopulmonary bypass surgery cared in ICU were retrospectively analyzed. The preparation of ICU, the nursing of respiratory system, circulatory system, drainage tube and mentality, and the early warning and intervention of pressure sore were investigated. Results: Fifty-six patients, except for one case death with postoperative severe low cardiac output, were discharged. Conclusion: ICU care is very important to patients undergoing open heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass, which was directly related to the success rate of operation.
