Abstract:

Objective:To observe the anti -inflammatory effectsofthe extract in Arisaemaerubescens and explore the underlying
mechanism. Methods: Mice auricle edemawasinduced by dimethylbenzene, mice abdominal cavity capillary permeability was increased by acetic acid, and thegranuloma was induced by cotton pellet. The anti-inflammatory effectof the extract in differentmodels was observed. Results: Ethanol extract, ethyl acetate extract of Arisaemaerubescens (Wall.)Schott tuber and Petroleum ether extract of Arisaemaerubescens(Wall.)Schottfruit showed significant inhibitory action on auricle edema induced by dimethylbenzene in mice (P<0.01)and on penetration of capillary vessel in mice (P<0.01 or P<0.05), andsignificantly decreased the proliferation of
granuloma caused by implantation cotton pellet in mice (P<0.01)Conclusion:Extract in Arisaemaerubescenshas significantantiinflammation action, which would be related to the decreased capillary permeability. The researches provided a scientific basis for the developing and utilizing of Arisaemaerubescens.
