Preliminary Study of the Chemical Constituents of Pinus Kesiya R. Pinecone

Abstract:

Objective: To study the chemical constituents of Pinus kesiya R. pinecone. Methods: The constituents were isolated and purified by extracting with system solution and using column chromatography with silica gel, RP-18, Sephadex LH-20 and MPLC.Their structures were identified by the spectral analysis. Results: Six compounds were isolated and identified as pinoresinol（1）, matairesinol （2）, cedrusin （3）, dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol （4）, 4',5,7-trihydroxyflavanonol-3'-O-β-D- glucopyranoside（5）, and 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid（6）. Conclusion: These 6 compounds were obtained from P. kesiya for the first time.
