Abstract:

Objective: To study the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of Oxalis corniculata L. on acute peritonitis induced by
acetic acid in mice. Methods: Mice peritonitis model caused by intraperitoneal injection of acetic acid was used to observe the effects of the ethanol extract of Oxalis corniculata L. on the body torsion reaction and the abdominal blood capillary permeability. Results: The ethanol extract of Oxalis corniculata L. reduced the body torsion times and the abdominal capillary permeability of mice inducedby acetic acid. Conclusion: Oxalis corniculata L. showed anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects on acute peritonitis in mice.
