A Study of Curriculum Setting Based on Association Rule Interestingness

Abstract:

This paper mainly gives a general introduction to data mining, concept and algorithm of association rule and also
introduces a new concept——association rule interestingness. Under the condition of defaulting minimum support, minimum confidence and interestingness, the author developed the software of association rule mining by using Visual FoxPro to make an analysis of computer majors' grades of their specialized courses with the hope that the relationship between the specialized courses could be found out, which can provide a scientific basis for curriculum setting.
