Abstract:

Objective: To evaluate the changing trend in the hospital infection transection investigation results from 2008 to 2012.
Methods: The prevalence rate of hospital infection during the five years was compared and analyzed. Results: The difference in the prevalence rate of infection in 2008 was statistically significant(P<0.05), compared with the year 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The prevalence rate of infection in upper respiratory tract declined from 2.28% to 1.06%(P<0.01), lower respiratory tract declined from 2.85% to 1.82%(P<0.01), urinary tract declined from 1.48% to 0.53%(P<0.01), and surgical site increased from 0.34% to 1.06%(P<0.01). The usage rate of antimicrobial agents declined significantly from 49.60% to 22.31%(P<0. 01). The constituent ratio of single antimicrobial usage increased from 80.23% to 88.10%(P<0.01), while the constituent ratio of two combined and three combined antimicrobial usage declined significantly(P<0. 05). The ratio of bacterial culture rose sharply from 7.67% to 60.91%(P<0. 01). Conclusion: The infection control work in the hospital had produced remarkable positive effects.
