On Bai Nationality's Belief of Local Gods of the Land from "An Long Dian Tu" Ceremony

Abstract:

An Long Dian Tu(Mandarin Chinese: means showing gratitude to the dragon gods who are in charge of the land), an
essential ceremony in the house building of Bai nationality in Dali. Based on the fieldwork, this paper studies the location, procedure
and gods of An Long Dian Tu ceremony, and Bai nationality's belief of local gods of the land. This paper found the close relationship
between Bai's "An Long Dian Tu" ceremony and Taoism, as well as the regional and national characters of the ceremony.
